The Weak Link: The state of infrastructure

Show us your commute’s #WeakLink

Marketplace Contributor Jun 15, 2015

This week, Marketplace’s sustainability desk explores the state of infrastructure across the U.S., and we’re teaming up with Waze to look at transportation.  Check out the map below to see the potholes, construction, and other traffic hazards on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the world: America’s roadways. And post your own reports using the instructions below.

If you want to be part of our series and report bad infrastructure on your own commute:

1. Download and open Waze

2. Select the “Report” icon in the lower right corner

3. Press “Hazard” and choose the problem

4. Describe the problem and add the hashtag #WeakLink

5. Hit send!

Our mission at Marketplace is to raise the economic intelligence of the country. It’s a tough task, but it’s never been more important.

In the past year, we’ve seen record unemployment, stimulus bills, and reddit users influencing the stock market. Marketplace helps you understand it all, will fact-based, approachable, and unbiased reporting.
