The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) continues to cut the price of oil in part because there’s so much of it being produced in the Middle East and North Africa, and also here in North America. More on that. And Google’s taken another step today in its quest to take over world commerce. The search engine giant is expanding its Google Express delivery service this week, and introducing a new fee. And as we discover, it’s all about competing with Amazon. Plus, they are a city’s permanent residents, yet many of them are forgotten; often ignored. We’re here to help you navigate this changed world and economy.

Our mission at Marketplace is to raise the economic intelligence of the country. It’s a tough task, but it’s never been more important.

In the past year, we’ve seen record unemployment, stimulus bills, and reddit users influencing the stock market. Marketplace helps you understand it all, will fact-based, approachable, and unbiased reporting.
