The price Bitcoin reached on Monday after online gamemaker Zynga announced it would test payment options for the digital currency. The price comes close to Bitcoin’s $1,250 all-time high, which the currency quickly lost after an announcement last month that China would restrict exchanges of the currency with the Yuan. (LAT)

The number of patents relating to cannabis that Chinese firms have filed, according to the World Intellectual Property Organisation. There are 606 such patents filed overall, meaning China is well positioned to benefit from the expanding decriminalization and legalization of the the drug around the world. (The Independent)

The cost of a new supersonic private aircraft manufactured by Spike Aerospace, which hopes to start selling the business planes in 2018. Other manufacturers, such as Bombardier, are also developing new aircraft aimed at the business elite who are finding the recession-era stigma against corporate jets to be disappearing. (Marketplace)
