Russia gave Ukraine an early Christmas present today. The first $3 billion of a $15 billion bailout the Kremlin promised last week.

It’ll help stabilize the Ukrainian economy, if not the government.

But the cash is not making many pro-European protesters living in Ukraine’s cities very happy.

This past weekend, somewhere near 100,000 demonstrators took to the streets of the capital city, Kiev.

And yet, in the rural parts of the country, where people rely on Russian trade, many say there’s only one choice for their future.
