Ford’s latest business results are in and the numbers are good. The company made $1.2 billion in profit from April through June. Robust pickup trucks sales and a strengthening U.S. economy get the credit.

Ford is also in vogue to the point that Honda and VW buyers in Northern California and the Northeast are starting to buy the once fusty brand. Jamie Kitman, New York editor for Automobile magazine, joins Marketplace Morning Report host David Brancaccio to discuss the newest Ford line-up.
