Two advertising giants give a glimpse into the real ‘Mad Men’ economy on Thursday. Omnicon and Publicis Groupe are scheduled to announce quarterly earnings results. Advertising has come a long way since the dark days of the recession. Some say the industry is doing so well it can only go down from here.

Intel and eBay are forecasting choppy waters for the second half of the year. Google and Microsoft will release their latest business reports this afternoon. What do earnings reports from these tech companies portend for the rest of the economy?
