To catch an Apple thief: NYPD creates new team

This final note today, in which the storied New York Police Department seems to becomes a division of Apple.

The New York Post reports today the NYPD is setting up a new team just to track iPhone and iPad thefts. A couple of months ago, Mayor Michael Bloomberg blamed the rise in overall crime in the city on Apple products subjected to the five-finger discount.

I’ll say only this, what my mother used to say to me when I went into the city when I was a kid: Keep an eye on your stuff, people.
