And finally, a new study out today in the British Medical Journal confirms what parents already know: Don’t let your babies grow up to be rock ‘n’ roll stars.

The study shows that rock ‘n’ rollers are more likely than the general population to die a premature death. The study looked at rock ‘n’ roll stars spanning 50 years and found over 9 percent of them died prematurely. Solo artists were twice as likely to die early as opposed to musicians who were members of a band.
