The number of the day is 146,000. That’s how many jobs were added last month and the unemployment rate fell to a four year low of 7.7 percent.

Michigan is likely to join 23 other states with right-to-work laws. Republicans passed legislation yesterday through the state’s House and Senate amid strong opposition from unions.

A 7.3 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Japan. While there are no reports of significant damage, how are the Japanese responding a year and a half after the country’s previous tsunami disaster?

Shared, open workplace designs may increase employee creativity and decrease office space costs.

And finally, there are certain brands that seem universal like McDonalds or Starbucks or Google, but the Atlantic Wire points out that “to google” isn’t “to google” all over the world. In Italian, it’s “googlare” and in Hungary it’s “googlizni.” But, in Redmond Washington, the home of Microsoft, it’s simply “Bing!”
