New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg instituted odd-even gas rationing today, in the wake of two storms and continuing supply problems. Odd numbered license plates get to buy gas on odd numbered dates; evens on evens.

Only 25 percent of the city’s 800 gas stations are open right now, Bloomberg said.
