This final note today, for everybody who snuck out of the office for an hour — or more — to vote.

You know who didn’t have to sneak out to vote today? Members of the United Auto Workers union, that’s who. Turns out UAW members have had Election Day off since 1999. It’s in their contract with all three of the Big 3 carmakers.

Go vote, if you haven’t already.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.

You rely on Marketplace to break down the world’s events and tell you how it affects you in a fact-based, approachable way. We rely on your financial support to keep making that possible.
