This final note on the way out, back to the story we started with: AT&T and T-Mobile joining forces after Sandy. At least for a while.

We went out on Twitter and asked what mashup of corporate rivals would make your life easier. Here’s just a couple: “Taco Bell and Zipcar; “Amazon and Costco — I’d love to have the UPS guy deliver 16 gallons of gas, 36 rolls of toilet paper and a 20lb. bag of rice”; “Disney and Luca-wait, never mind“; “Jack White and Jay-Z!”

The best one, from a guy named Christopher Tawes: “Republicans and Democrats.”

Tweet us your dream mashup @marketplaceapm.

Marketplace is on a mission.

We believe Main Street matters as much as Wall Street, economic news is made relevant and real through human stories, and a touch of humor helps enliven topics you might typically find…well, dull.

Through the signature style that only Marketplace can deliver, we’re on a mission to raise the economic intelligence of the country—but we don’t do it alone. We count on listeners and readers like you to keep this public service free and accessible to all. Will you become a partner in our mission today?
