This final note today. The state of Minnesota is cracking down on free online education -- out-of-state online learning, in particular.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports this week that Minnesota officials have told online learning companies they're not allowed to teach state residents unless they get a license. From the state. Which comes with a fee attached.
In other words: No free learning unless someone pays up.
