That’s a question we’re exploring in this special podcast. Pay is as taboo a subject as you can get in the U.S. Many people will talk about their sex lives before they talk about their paycheck. If there is one group of people who are not supposed to keep their compensation a secret, it’s the company boss. And now Congress is demanding some companies go further and compare CEO pay to what everyone else makes at a company. Which brings us to the question: Why do CEOs make so much more money than middle managers?
