Mountain Lion to be released in Apple stores on July 25th?

John Moe Jul 16, 2012

Don’t worry, it’s the operating system, not the actual animal. We think. At least that’s what many are extrapolating from recent indications. The blog 9 to 5 Mac says it’s heard reports of workers being informed of an overnight shift the night of the 24th, which tends to be an indication of some large refresh happening in the Appleverse the next day. What’s a little weird here is that Mountain Lion will be available as a download so why would an Apple store even care?

9 to 5 Mac say, “One employee tells us that it is basically just a few guys running around with the master image installing it on every Mac.” Okay then. Apple’s quarterly earnings call will happen on the 24th so it seems reasonable.

Apple has already announced that the OS is completed and will launch in July so there you go.
