Wikileaks: not dead yet, just getting started

John Moe Jul 5, 2012

Wikileaks apparently has information millions of emails connected to Syria, many from within the Syrian government, and says it has begun releasing it online. Wikileaks’ Sarah Harrison says there is a great deal of information linking the oppressive government to international corporations and says when this all comes out it will be embarrassing to both the Assad regime and to those who denounce the regime but have been profiting from it.

From the LA Times:

Harrison said the WikiLeaks emails dated from August 2006 to March 2012 and originated from hundreds of different domains, including Syria’s ministry of presidential affairs.
Harrison said her group was “statistically confident” that the body of material was genuine.

The Guardian is doing live updates as the emails come out.
