AirTime? More like Take The Air Out Of My Sails Time! Or Air Ball Time! You know what? Never mind, just read the item.
Remember AirTime? That new service for video chatting? Big deal about a month ago? You say you barely remember it at all? Well, exactly. The service received a lot of ballyhoo and folderol when it debuted, the product of Sean (Justin Timberlake’s character in The Social Network) Parker and Shawn (dude who made Napster) Fanning, who met at the annual Sean/ShawnCon event*. One month in the numbers are not good. It has 9000 daily users and 200,000 monthly users. Considering it’s only been out about a month, that means only about 200,000 people have even bothered checking it out.
This is because PEOPLE DON’T LIKE BEING LOOKED AT WHEN THEY MAKE CALLS. I’ve been saying this for years. No one ever listens to me.
