Oreo’s rainbow cookie gets people all upset

John Moe Jun 27, 2012

It’s come to this, America. People are emotionally very worked up over a picture of a cookie. A. Cookie. Oreo posted a Facebook status update featuring a photo illustration of a rainbow colored Oreo cookies along with the message “Proudly support love!”, meant to go along with Pride Day. Well, people got all upset over the make believe cookie. Over 216,000 Likes, over 35,000 comments. A lot of the comments were very supportive of Oreo, pledging to buy more Oreos. Plenty of other comments condemned Oreo, swearing to never buy them again. Whether those vows really hold up or not, I cannot say.

But it’s a cookie. It’s not even a cookie. It’s a make believe cookie.

It’s this.
