Harry Potter books for free on Kindle

John Moe Jun 19, 2012

If you’ve ever wanted to read the Harry Potter books but somehow haven’t managed to do so yet, you’re either deeply lazy or perhaps you’re a child of five. If it’s the latter, good job reading the Tech Report memo. You’re very advanced.

Anyway, if you have access to a Kindle you can now read the books for free through Kindle’s lending library. You will need to be a member of Amazon Prime, which runs $79 a year. So that makes it not free, I guess, but maybe you already have that service. And you can only borrow one per month. You can also borrow them at these buildings called libraries where you don’t have to pay $79 a year. They’re pretty cool places, actually. Go check them out.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.

You rely on Marketplace to break down the world’s events and tell you how it affects you in a fact-based, approachable way. We rely on your financial support to keep making that possible.

Your donation today powers the independent journalism that you rely on. For just $5/month, you can help sustain Marketplace so we can keep reporting on the things that matter to you.
