Microtab!

Marc Sanchez Jun 15, 2012

That’s what I’m going to call Microsoft’s tablet, which has been denied, speculated about, and now, just maybe, might get announced at a Monday press conference. Tablets running Windows 8 have been trotted out, but the buzz is that Microsoft will make a tablet of its very own, like a similar fruit-branded tech company. Taking another page out of the Apple playbook, members of the media received cryptic invites to Monday’s announcement yesterday.

CNET also notes:

Less tech-savvy buyers would likely find a branded slate easier to wrap their heads around than, say, an Asus device that’s running Microsoft’s operating system. One potential obstacle for anyone looking to buy an Android tablet is the sheer number of devices out there.

For now, let the speculators speculate and the rumor mills power your weekend. Sit back, watch the NBA finals and enjoy a microbrew, while you wait for the Microtab.
