Google managed to do something very few heroes in classical Greek literature were able to accomplish: defeat the Oracle!

After a week of deliberations, a jury has ruled that Google did not infringe on patents owned by Oracle. The jury has been dismissed, the judge has said this was the longest civil trial he had ever been involved in, and for the moment, it’s all over. Google has already been found to have violated several of Oracle’s copyrights but the jury was unable to decide whether those violations were covered under provisions of fair use. Google and Oracle have both already agreed to postpone any penalty phase for all that.
