Dolby buys naming rights for former Kodak Theatre

This final note today, in which Dolby becomes the latest entrant in the ‘Can we make a corporate naming rights deal work out and not go broke in the process?’ sweepstakes.

The audio technology pioneer has signed a 20-year naming deal for what used to be called the Kodak Theatre, where the Oscars are held. No financials were released, but if history’s any guide — fingers crossed for Dolby.
