Being discriminated against by the TSA?

Marketplace Staff Apr 24, 2012

FlyRight is a new app created by Sikh Coalition in reaction to report alleged racial profiling in airports against turban-wearing travelers. It can be used by other religious groups and ethnicities, and the Transportation Security Administration says it will honor complaints issued through the app.

NextGov reports: “The app walks passengers through an interactive checklist of behaviors characteristic of profiling. After completing the brief survey, users have the option of submitting their reports to the government and the coalition, or just one or the other.” The survey matches questions on the official Department of Homeland Security and TSA websites that passengers can currently use to report inappropriate behavior.

The official launch is next Monday, when it will be available for iPhones. An Android version is in the works.
