How do you spell Internet TV? U-P-P-L-E-V-A

Marc Sanchez Apr 17, 2012

Yeah, apparently that’s how you spell it. With a name like Uppleva, you won’t be surprised to learn that this is a new IKEA product. That’s right, IKEA is making a TV. Well it’s actually not a TV, but it is sort of.

It’s a TV, Blu-ray player, sound system, and furniture all in one. One of the big selling points from IKEA is that you won’t have to deal with all those pesky cables. The furniture is built to hide the spaghetti that clutters countless living rooms across the country.

Gizmodo reports: “it features WiFi connectivity to get you online, supports DivX HD, and comes with a raft of USB and HDMI inputs so, um, you can clutter the thing up with wires.”

The furniture and electronics come in a variety of colors and sizes and are meant to pair with other pieces of furniture. No word when these all-in-ones will hit the states. They’re due in some European countries beginning in June with the promise of more countries in the spring of 2013.
