Facebook goes back to school

Marc Sanchez Apr 12, 2012

Facebook announced Groups for Schools yesterday, which lets students with specific, school email addresses join groups at their school. Wait a minute. Isn’t this how this whole thing started… Harvard students talking to Harvard students? Maybe Zuckerberg just wants to get back to his roots and ground himself before the big IPO.
One of the features of the new program allows students to share files. Facebook suggests the function could be used for sharing lecture notes, but who knows. I’m sure at least a few clips of Family Guy will make the rounds.
