Wavii is supposed to be the giant solution for news aggregation

John Moe Apr 11, 2012

Word of Wavii has been spreading for a while, lots of venture capital money and lots of big time investors, and now the Seattle startup is in a public beta session and available on the web or as an app. Wavii says it wants to make a sort of Facebook out of the larger Google, meaning it would take all the information and news out there and bring you the stuff that matters to you. You use a Facebook login to use it, which indicates it’s probably more about building a Wavii – whatever that is – out of Facebook first. And if you want to use the app, you have to give permission to Wavii to post on your behalf on Facebook, letting the world know about the articles you read and what your interests are. Sigh.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.

You rely on Marketplace to break down the world’s events and tell you how it affects you in a fact-based, approachable way. We rely on your financial support to keep making that possible.

Your donation today powers the independent journalism that you rely on. For just $5/month, you can help sustain Marketplace so we can keep reporting on the things that matter to you.
