A ‘Health Care Song’

Marketplace Contributor Mar 28, 2012

Marketplace contacted me again about two weeks ago to write a song concerning what I feel is the most important election issue this year. After a pretty grueling week battling some writer’s block, I finally came up with the lyrics to my “Health Care Song.”

If you’re sick, tired, been laid off, or just fired, join this choir and sing to bring health care through.

If you’re poor in spirit or troubled in mind, broke as a joke, near the end of the line, join this choir and sing to bring health care through.

As the heavens encircle the earth, let us live up to Miss Liberty’s words.

If you’re like me – a bit troubled in the mind, choked out by the yoke of an honest life, join this choir and sing to bring health care through.
