Netflix is one of the first of the major apps to launch a new app for the retina display of the new iPad. So everything will look crisp and clean, the thumbnails of the movies will look amazing, they even rejiggered the interface a little bit to hopefully make it a notch or two above awful, where most Netflix interfaces tend to reside. So that’s the good news. The bad news? No HD movies just yet, although that’s not entirely bad news either because Netflix says that will come later. Not sure when later, just later. When that DOES happen, the iPad will be a fantastic place to watch movies, it’ll be just amazing. BUT! Make sure you have your iPad plugged in if at all possible and make sure you’re on a home Internet connection. Because if not, you’ll burn through your battery AND your data plan awfully quickly.
