Neighborhood Photo Project

Your neighborhood through your eyes

Angela Kim Mar 1, 2012

We have taken you around the world with our stories and this time around, we want you to show us your community and tell us issues that matter to you. Marketplace’s Wealth and Poverty Desk and the Public Insight Network is asking you to show us your neighborhood.

So far we have received stories from across the country. We heard from Virginia Pizzella-Bierig from Colo. who feels blessed for her home and where she lives. Juan Carlos Limas shows us how it is to live in a neighborhood that is along the U.S.-Mexico border. Marlee Gallagher from Pittsburgh, Pa. sent in a photo of a wall she sees from her front window which divides two classes in her neighborhood in Pittsburgh.

The “Neighborhood Photo Project” is a collection culled from Public Insight Network sources. What’s your neighborhood like? Show us here.

We’re here to help you navigate this changed world and economy.

Our mission at Marketplace is to raise the economic intelligence of the country. It’s a tough task, but it’s never been more important.

In the past year, we’ve seen record unemployment, stimulus bills, and reddit users influencing the stock market. Marketplace helps you understand it all, will fact-based, approachable, and unbiased reporting.

Generous support from listeners and readers is what powers our nonprofit news—and your donation today will help provide this essential service. For just $5/month, you can sustain independent journalism that keeps you and thousands of others informed.
