Piggy Bank Award

For saving for her own future

Tess Vigeland Jan 20, 2012

Tess Vigeland: Our little blue plastic friend is heading to Greenfield, Wisc. and the home of listener Claudia Reilly. Ms. Reilly wrote on our Facebook page that she wants a piggy to give to her 25-year-old daughter who “Soaked me financially for a wedding in July and the downpayment of her home in December.

“I will put my last penny in there,” she says. “And allow her to start saving for her future progeny!”

Um sorry… NO! I’m not giving you a piggy to give to your daughter. You’ve done enough, thank you very much. I’m giving him to you. I want the two of you to work together to rebuild that nest egg that you so lovingly gave away.
