Final Note

Poll: 69% of us knew super committee was doomed

Kai Ryssdal Nov 21, 2011

This final note today, in which the American People are smarter than Congress.

We don’t cite a lot of polls on the program but I thought this one was interesting. The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute — which is a pretty widely respected organization — said today 69 percent of us knew the super committee was doomed.

More Republicans than Democrats were right — 54 percent of Democrats said the committee would fail, 84 percent of Republicans.
