TV on the television

John Moe Nov 10, 2011

Boxee is a device people use to connect their TVs to the web and watch videos on sites like Netflix and Vudu. It’s convenient if you’re into streaming, but if you want to watch live TV, like all your buddies who still pay for cable, you’re out of luck. GigaOM reports that an upcoming update to Boxee will solve this problem and let viewers watch live TV. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but this is the first time a device has been able to integrate the two viewing options for TV and might be another incentive for people thinking about ditching cable.
