UltraViolet codes for sale on eBay

Remember a couple weeks ago when we told you about UltraViolet? It’s the new way a bunch of Hollywood studios are trying to market movies. You get the DVD or Blu-Ray disc and then you also get a code for where you can watch the movie online after downloading some software and jumping through a bunch of registration hoops. Wave of the future! Or something!

Now, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that those codes are being sold on eBay for, in some cases, 99 cents.

It makes you think that maybe Hollywood hasn’t quite cracked the streaming video nut just yet.
