iPad Facebook app finally launches

Marc Sanchez Oct 11, 2011

Is this memo item dated 2010? It is not. For whatever reason, it took until yesterday for the social media titan to finally launch an app for iPad. Not when the iPad launched, not a week later, not a year later. It’s kind of a neat app, I guess. It looks a lot like the Twitter app for iPad, actually with an index of things like News Feed, Messages, Friends, and other major categories. The index can be covered by the main display screen when you drag it over to the left. The photo display is slick too, lets you see your pictures nice and big and move them around slide show style.

So I guess Facebook was waiting on this big redesign to roll this app out but still, geez you guys, way late on this one.

Because the leisurely life of a Facebook user matches well with the leisurely life of an iPad user.
