A new battle in The Great Samsung-Apple War

John Moe Oct 5, 2011

Samsung wants to block sales of the iPhone 4S in Italy and France on the grounds that Apple neglected to pay wireless technology fees on patents Samsung owns. As Reuters reports: “Samsung has emerged as a credible challenger to Apple’s mobile devices and the two companies are battling over patents in courtrooms around the world. They have sued each other in 10 countries involving more than 20 cases since April.”
Apple, of course, has been fighting a prolonged legal battle to stop Samsung’s Galaxy Tab tablet computer from being sold in Europe on the grounds that it’s a rip off of the iPad.
I think I’ve seen this movie. Matt Damon plays scrappy Samsung, while 15,000 giant pro wrestlers play Apple.
