U.S. states with the most foreclosures

]()The housing market continues to struggle across the country, with homeowners dealing with the effects of robosigning and banking problems, and foreclosures still numbering in the thousands.

In our latest Marketplace Map, we take a look at America at Work. The data on housing as of August 2011 reveal the number of foreclosures is still extremely high in some states, with the top three of California, Florida and Illinois reporting hundreds of thousands.

Here are the top and bottom 10 U.S. states in foreclosures:

2. Florida (202,746)

3. Illinois (123,871)

4. Michigan (85,383)

5. Georgia (81,129)

5. Arizona (74,648)

7. Ohio (70,676)

8. Texas (69,118)

9. New Jersey (59,359)

10. Nevada (57,640)

1. Vermont (52)

2. North Dakota (444)

3. Wyoming (772)

4. South Dakota (885)

5. West Virginia (1,127)

6. Alaska (1,529)

7. Nebraska (1,600)

8. Montana (2,457)
