Are pigs flying?

No word on when this will happen, but Reuters is reporting that cable companies are working on an ala carte plan. The golden chalice of cable packages is once again being wagged in front of our noses, and as far as golden chalices go, it smells delicious. (sniffff) Mmm, good chalice. Apparently Time Warner and Cablevision are looking into ways that give TV viewers the option to opt in and out of different channels. Networks, on the other hand, will fight this tooth and nail. They want to sell all their channels as a package, so when you buy the Discovery channel, you get “Sherman Tank Wars” on the Military Channel along with Mythbusters.
