What happens when a tractor maker and a robot designer combine forces? Timing is everything on the farm. If you want to get your crops in at the peak of optimum weather in the spring then harvest them at just the right time, you might need a little help. Enter Robot tractors! The vehicles will be programmed to go along a pre-defined route in a farmer's field and are equipped to sense obstacles like animals and fence posts. The FCC wants more testing, to make sure the machines don't encroach on valuable GPS spectrum that others already use. If all goes to plan, there will be drone tractors plowing fields next year.
