Pakistan bans encryption software

China isn’t the only large Asian country to oppress its citizens. Pakistan is now banning
encryption software
to make it easier to spy on people. And ISPs will be required to alert the authorities if anyone’s using a VPN (virtual private network), which would allow them to see websites without being detected.
