Microsoft shows off new quad-core slate in New Zealand

John Moe Aug 26, 2011

So a lot of computers today have dual-core processors. Two processors. This one has four. So it’s twice as fast. And Microsoft previewed it at a trade show in New Zealand Some pictures were posted of the device but the video of the presentation has been taken down by Microsoft.

Says PC World:

Specs were not released for the mystery quad-core device, and the photos shed little light on what the device might be like. Burchill’s images show what appears to be a thin tablet with two switches on one side.

Expect the tablet to come out in the next few months and run Windows 7.

There also appear to be some pictures of a bendy laptop. Bendy laptop!
