Miramax launches Facebook app for watching movies

John Moe Aug 22, 2011

Which…okay. I guess I could watch Good Will Hunting on Facebook. Seems a little weird. Maybe I want to Like it or quote favorite lines to my friends. I don’t know. So this is a new Facebook app called Miramax eXperience (why the wacky capitalization? No idea) and it launches today with 20 movies in the US and 10 each in the UK and Turkey (Turkey?). France and Germany are supposedly coming next. You can rent the movies for 30 Facebook credits ($3) and have them for 30 days but once you start watching them you have 48 hours to finish. You can watch them on Facebook, Google TV(!), or through a browser on an iPad.
