Reid announces plan to reopen FAA

Kai Ryssdal Aug 4, 2011

This final note on the way out. Nobody’s giving any details, but there’s one small sliver of sanity in Washington today. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced a deal this afternoon that’ll — at least temporarily — get the Federal Aviation Administration back to work while Congress is off for the month.

Details to come tomorrow when whatever the arrangement is becomes official, then they’ll take the whole thing up again in September.
