BBC introduces grunt control for Wimbledon

John Moe Jun 30, 2011

Technology has made itself useful again! And this time no robots are involved!* The Beeb is offering a new way to watch and listen to Wimbledon matches. It’s a web tool called NetMix that lets you adjust how much court sound you want to hear vs. how much commentary you want to hear. So if you’d rather skip the polite British announcers and concentrate on the ear shattering guttural grunts that sounds like cavemen exploding, go for it. If you’re more interested in the commentary, you can have that too. It’s like a little mixer.

Personally, I want a tool that inserts tennis grunts in everything else going on. Minnesota government shutdown coverage? Tennis grunts! Robert Siegel on ATC? Tennis grunts! Tennis grunts? MORE tennis grunts
