Just in time for the show, Tony Awards strike agreement with stagehands

Broadway’s Tony Awards are set for this Sunday. But only today did producers reach an agreement with the stagehands’ union over staffing for the red carpet. The dispute was the result of moving the show from Radio City Music Hall to the smaller Beacon Theater. The Beacon’s red carpet rests one block outside a perimeter guaranteeing union jobs, but now it will be staffed with union members.
