Cell phones found to be "possibly carcinogenic"

Tess Vigeland May 31, 2011

And this final note. Practically since the first time one was held up to an ear, we’ve heard that cell phones might cause cancer. Well, with the caveat that still more research needs to be done, the World Health Organization today classified mobile phones as “possibly carcinogenic.” And may increase the risk for certain kinds of tumors.

The warning puts cell phones in the same category as lead and engine exhaust. Industry groups pointed out its also the same category as coffee and pickled vegetables.
