Obama enjoys a pint overseas

Kai Ryssdal May 23, 2011

This final note today, on the president and a pint of Guinness. He stopped by the local pub in his great-great-great-grandfather’s hometown of Moneygall today. Had the obligatory pint of stout. After which he said, it tastes so much better here than back in the United States. You’re keeping all the best stuff here, he said.

Which I say — as a beer drinker — stinks.

It’s also worth a mention that the president was clearly thirsty. Emptied the glass in four sips.
