For Marketplace, Friday, May 20, 2011

President Obama is set to visit the tiny town of Moneygall in Ireland, the hometown of his ancestors. Barnes & Noble gets picked up by Liberty Media. Shell is building the world’s first floating gas rig to drill for natural gas in deep water. For the latest installment of the “Art of Money” series, Kai spoke with members of the band The Low Anthem. And we had the weekly wrap with Fortune Magazine’s Leigh Gallagher and CNBC’s John Carney. Here are the songs we played:

  • Seasick – Like a Goodnight Kiss
  • Son of Neckbone – Beastie BoysBuy
  • Drunken Lullabies – Flogging MollyBuy
  • Ghost Woman Blues – The Low AnthemListen

Your donation — as little as $5 — helps us create more content that matters to you and your community, and to reach more people where they are – whether that’s radio, podcasts or online.

When you contribute directly to Marketplace, you become a partner in that mission: someone who understands that when we all get smarter, everybody wins.
