Netflix teams with Miramax

John Moe May 16, 2011

Taking advantage of their shared love of movies and the letter x, the two companies are bringing a ton of Miramax back catalog to Netflix streaming. Starting in June, you’ll be able to watch Pulp Fiction, There Will Be Blood, Trainspotting, The English Patient, and more on your streaming service. It’s one more triumph for Netflix, which has seen a lot of big name partnerships coming through. Someone recently asked me if she could stay sufficiently entertained without cable but with Netflix and I told her it was looking better and better for Netflix since more companies seemed to want to work with them, collect money up front instead of promoting a lot of old DVDs, and get their stuff out there. Miramax also offers The Beatles’ A Hard Day’s Night, so that will be fun.
