A rather peculiar tornado survival story

Kai Ryssdal Apr 28, 2011

This final note today. A small business bright spot in the tornado story. Lisa Rice of Trenton, Ga., opened her tanning salon S & L Tans not too long ago. She and her daughters were at work in the shop last night when the storms hit. So they did the best thing they could think of: climbed into a couple of tanning beds.

The salon’s ruined, but the best part? The daughters’ names: Stormy and Sky.

And nope, this is not The Onion.
