Billboard of tomorrow will recognize you, target you

John Moe Apr 18, 2011

A New York company is raising money with the intent of building smart billboards. The company, Immersive, is working on a system where a camera inside the billboard sees you and figures out your gender, ethnicity, approximate age, and then displays on a screen the kind of product you’re likely to buy. So a young dude walks by and sees Bud Light. A kid walks by and sees ads for candy.

Brilliant. Evil.
